The PremAire Supplied Air Respirator System is one of the most advanced airline respirators available. The modular system allows users to “create” a variety of respirator configurations from one unit. Workers can use the PremAire System to match specific respiratory protection needs to the task at hand.
The PremAire Respirator is a type C pressure-demand, supplied-air respirator as defined by 42CFR, Part 84. This system features a state of the art pressure demand regulator mounted at the facepiece. The mask-mounted regulator maintains a slight positive pressure within the facepiece while regulating and reducing the air supply from the NIOSH/MSHA approved range of 60-100 PS1G to a breathable pressure.
The heart of the PremAire System is the unique patented manifold. The manifold is positioned near the wearer’s waist. The manifold has five individual parts that allow connection of various air supply hoses and system options.
1) Escape Cylinder Option - Allows users to work in an IDLH atmosphere by providing an emergency escape capability. Available with five and ten minute cylinders.
2) Dual Supply Option - Allows workers to connect from one pressurized continuous air source to another without losing continuity of airflow.
3) Duo Twin Option - Converts the respirator into a supplied air/air purifying device. Allowing workers in Non IDLH atmospheres to move freely from station to station without being tethered to an air supply hose.
4) Vortex tube option provides body cooling or warming whenever
Protective clothing is required.
When ordering the PremAire System order air supply hose separately. MSA Hose must be ordered with the MSA PremAire pressure demand respirator to comply with NIOSH regulations.
Note: Hose is also available in 8’, 15’ & 25’ lengths
