The WorkMask MMR self-contained breathing apparatus is composed of five components. The facepiece, regulator, cylinder, carrier and harness assembly and audible low-pressure warning device.
The Ultra Elite Facepiece is made of MSA’s Softfeel Hycar rubber, which provides comfort and resistance to chemical attack. The facepiece design provides exceptional peripheral and downward vision. Other features include a molded polycarbonate lens, a mechanical speaking diaphragm for short range communications, five adjustable head straps for comfort and a vinyl neck strap for holding the facepiece in a standby position.
FireHawk™ Regulator: The FireHawk Mask mounted regulator assembly is fully compliant with NIOSH 42CFR 84. The unit is easy to use and maintenance is easy because the FireHawk design requires no tools, adhesives or sealants and has approximately 70% fewer parts then other regulators on the market. Additionally, there are no internal adjustments required. Any adjustments to the regulator may be accomplished at a single adjustment point through the outlet port of the regulator.
Air Cylinder: our low pressure (2216 psig) 30-minute cylinder is available in several different materials.
Aluminum: The old timer is least expensive and weighs 18lbs. Designed for customers who don’t use an SCBA frequently.
Fiberglass Hoop Wound: Features fiberglass wrapping and provides a cost saving advantage over fully wound fiberglass, weighs 13 lbs.
Fiberglass Fully Wound: A cylinder weighing 9 lbs. 14 ounces.
Stealth L-30: Unique outerwrap made of lightweight high performance carbon fibers reduce the cylinder weight to 7 lbs. 9 ounces.
Carrier and Harness Assembly: MSA’s durable harness and carrier assembly distributes the apparatus weight around the hips for comfort and stability. The assembly includes an ergonomic back plate with load distribution wings and adjustable waist and shoulder straps.
Low pressure warning device: MSA’s WorkMask MMR is equipped with the Audi-alarm which signals the user by a loud clear bell when the air supply in the cylinder has been reduced to 20-25% of capacity.
The WorkMask MMR is designed for use in industrial environments that do not require compliance with NFPA 1981. They are not to be worn in fire fighting situations....
