Steel Grip’s higher-level protective garments for electrical hazard exposure are multi-layered, yet lightweight and flexible. The additional fabric layers afford greater mass and, therefore, higher protective values.
As stated in the established standards, THE USER MUST DETERMINE HIS OR HER LEVEL OF EXPOSURE. ArcGear meets or exceeds standards (requirements) set forth in the NFPA 70E 2000 Edition Standard, OSHA 1910.269 CFR, and ASTM F 1506.2001 A.
40 CAL/CM2 Hazard Risk Category 4 Arc Rating Suit is 4-ply, consisting of two outer layers of 4.5 ounce navy blue Nomex® IIIA with two layers of KEVLAR® non-woven barrier material between.
55 CAL/CM2 Hazard Risk Category 4 Arc Rating Suit is 6-ply, consisting of one outer layer of 7 ounce INDURA® Ultra Soft™, one inner layer of 4.5 ounce navy blue Nomex ®IIIA with four layers of KEVLAR® non-woven barrier material between.
100 CAL/CM2 Hazard Risk Category 4 Arc Rating Suit is 7-ply, consisting of two outer layers of 8 ounce TuffWeld with five layers of KEVLAR® non-woven barrier between. Color:Tan.
DESCRIPTION
Suit consists of jacket 35” long with VELCRO® closures; over pants accommodate belt or suspenders, hood with tinted lens and dielectric hard cap.
